Niranjan (Climate Justice Head and Culture Head)

Niranjan Singh is a high school student of UWCSEA where he studies Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Environmental Systems and Societies, English, and Spanish. Passionate about the environment, and platforming the voices of his peers, he founded Greenquill to highlight teen opinions on subjects that directly and indirectly affect them as well as their communities. He firmly believes in the importance of bringing forth the ideas of those who are often unheard, and hopes that Greenquill is a small step in the long journey of spotlighting erstwhile silent voices.

Alonso Sánchez Ballestero (Politics Head)

Alonso Sanchez Ballestero is a student from Costa Rica. He is passionate about politics and economics, and believes that serving people is one of the best ways to give back what we receive from our communities. Back in Costa Rica, he has been part of organizations such as the Participatory Council for Children and Adolescents, and the Local Subsystem for the Protection of Children and Adolescents. He has also been the Youth Leader of the PUSC in Santa Barbara. Additionally, he has experience with leading several reforestation campaigns, and used to be a part of the Cantonal Committee For Young People. He enjoys spending his time reading about political issues from around the world, and learning from them.

Koroma Samuel Simeon (Social Justice Head)

Koroma Samuel Simeon is a student from Sierra Leone, studying Physics,Biology, Global Politics,Spanish, English and Mathematics at UWCSEA Dover. A member of several clubs, both in school and back in Sierra Leone, he is passionate about the environment, social service, and playing football. His motivation to see a change in society is what compels him to engage in activities that are service driven and beneficial to the community at large. He joined the Green Quill with the same goal - to contribute to and advocate for better, more equitable circumstances around the world. He believes that a platform like Green Quill is a great way for young people to share their opinions and make their voices heard about how the issues of the world affect them.
